Pope Francis is calling upon all Christians to take up their role as “Guardians of Creation.” NET TV proudly presents CUSTODY + CREATION — a visually moving documentary, which follows scientists, theologians, and the passionate people behind local causes, as they present viable solutions for taking on the issues of pollution, energy, and what Pope Francis has described as a “disposable culture.”

Assessing the state of our planet, CUSTODY + CREATION focuses on how the Church reaffirms a biblical custody of the Earth, the dignity of creation, and a human ecology. From a positive perspective, this unique documentary examines faith at the crossroads of our environment, with experts from major organizations weighing-in and sharing their research, experience, and perspectives. Explore the waters of the Narragansett Bay, New York Harbor, the Delaware River Valley and the Chesapeake as a circulatory system, uniting people of all walks of life. CUSTODY + CREATION challenges the status quo when it comes to caring for our planet…and the unique people who live here.

Featuring interviews with scientists & activists from the National Audubon Society (NYC), U.S. Geological Survey, Narragansett Bay Commission, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, and Department of Natural Resources; as well as theologians and faith-based ecologists from the Catholic Climate Covenant, CatholicEcology.net, Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake, Providence College, The College of St. Elizabeth, the Diocese of Brooklyn, and Eternal Flame of Hope Ministries Eco-Chapel.
