On the Block

On the Block, hosted by Ed Wilkinson, takes viewers into the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens to visit with the priests of the diocese to discuss their vocations. On the first three episodes, Father Michael Gelfant, Pastor of St. Finbar’s parish, Bath Beach, Father John Maduri, Pastor of Most Precious Blood, Brooklyn, and Father Stephen Giuletti, Parochial Vicar at St. Bernadette’s, Dyker Heights, discuss their reasons for pursuing a vocation to the priesthood as well as their experiences on living the vocation. Rather than taking place in churches or office space, the interviews take place on the streets to give a close-up and personal view of the neighborhoods.
